In 2012, the Metropolitan Fire Brigade released a Decontamination Unit built on a crew cabin Scania P320.
This appliance incorporates a hydraulically operated 240 volts alternator, electronic awnings, a hydraulically operated cantilever tail lifter and a pneumatically operated light mast with integrated camera.
The appliance build-up comprises of an extruded aluminium space frame and monopan sandwich panel walls which is clad with aluminium panels. The body is supported on a Duragal steel sub frame.
The Decontamination Unit can convey a crew of four and the necessary tools and equipment.
